Startups are invited to apply for the Africa Carbon Removal Accelerator (ACRA), which will provide participants with deep knowledge of carbon dioxide removal (CDR) and support them on their entrepreneurial journey in this space.
In partnership with Strathmore University and the Nuvoni Centre for Innovation Research, the ACRA programme is led by CDR-focused experts, and provides connections to tech and policy stakeholders, leading CDR buyers, verification bodies and fundraising professionals globally, while keeping the context of Sub-Saharan Africa top of mind.
Participants will gain access to a thriving and globally-connected CDR community, allowing them to connect, share knowledge and collaborate with key stakeholders in an enabling and diverse CDR ecosystem.
They will also benefit from the most recent findings on CDR technologies that offer the greatest sustainable development potential for Sub-Saharan Africa, and learn about local factors critical for the development of a domestic CDR ecosystem.
Applications are open here until February 24, with the programme running from April to December.
