Tunisian legal-tech startup Juridoc secures funding round

0
By Tom Jackson on March 24, 2025 News, North Africa

Tunisian legal-tech startup Juridoc has raised an undisclosed amount of funding to help it accelerate the digitalisation of legal services in Africa and the Middle East.

Founded in 2021, Juridoc simplifies access to legal resources through a comprehensive database that includes legislation, case law, doctrine, and legal monitoring.

Its intelligent search engine, powered by generative AI, enables legal professionals, businesses, and institutions to optimise their work by quickly accessing reliable and up-to-date information.

Already established in Tunisia and Senegal, Juridoc has over 252,000 documents available, 325,000 successful legal searches, and more than 4,000 paid users. Building on this success, the startup aims to democratise access to legal information in new markets, and to power that has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from 216 Capital and Go Big Partners.

“We believe our solution addresses a critical need for legal professionals, not just in Tunisia and Senegal but across West Africa and the Middle East. We aim to expand our expertise and deliver significant value to new users,” said Kais Assali, co-founder and CEO of Juridoc.

Juridoc will use the funding to upgrade its technological infrastructure to optimise the performance of its AI-based search engine, expand its database with legal content tailored to the local specifics of new markets, and support its commercial and marketing efforts to accelerate platform adoption.

“This investment aligns with our vision of supporting high-potential startups that transform strategic sectors through digital innovation. We are delighted to support Juridoc in its growth and contribute to modernizing access to legal information in high-demand markets,” said Dhekra Khelifi, partner at 216 Capital Ventures.
