Egyptian online therapy platform Shezlong has launched an AI-powered therapy assistant that aims to revolutionise mental healthcare by providing therapists with access to insights and advanced analytics regarding their patients.
Founded in 2014, Shezlong helps patients connect with licensed therapists through online video calls online, and uses cognitive behavioural therapy to teach individuals how to manage stress and anxiety.
The AI assistant supports therapists by offering profound insights and advanced analytics about each patient’s psychological state. It generates personalised treatment reports, analyses emotional patterns, tracks progress milestones, and supports long-term therapeutic relationships with unprecedented clarity and structure.
In early trials conducted with real patients, Shezlong achieved concrete proofs of concept demonstrating the AI’s effectiveness in real-world clinical settings.
“We believe the human element is at the core of the therapeutic journey for our clients. This innovation gives our therapists superpowers to enhance the experience for both therapists and clients,” said Professor Mohamed Elsheikh, chief medical officer at Shezlong. “And we are doing it with real patients, real therapy, and real care.”
