Nigerian startups to pitch for place on Slush Impact Accelerator

Nigerian incubator Co-Creation Hub (CcHub) is running a selection programme that will see at least one startup selected to take part in the Slush Impact Accelerator, a programme co-organised with the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, UNICEF and other partners.

CcHub is one of the various partners of the programme, which aims to assist founders in speeding up the development of their businesses through skills workshops, networking opportunities, and meetings with investors and potential partners.

Selected startups will also have the opportunity of obtaining exposure at the Slush conference in November, while they will also be offered pre-event mentoring at a Helsinki bootcamp programme on November 4-13.

“Do you run a startup that directly addresses global development challenge? Do you want to attend a one-week global accelerator program with 30 other impact startups with the opportunity of meeting top investors and the media?” CcHub said.

Interested parties can apply here for the chance to take part, after which selected applicants will pitch their business at CcHub on July 31 in front of a panel of local judges. The judges will shortlist between two and four startups, which will then fill in more a in-depth application form and interviewed by a selection committee. At least one startup will then be selected for the Slush programme.

Last November, three Nigerian startups – Truppr, Wecyclers and VacantBoards – attended the Slush programme.
