WorkinAfrica, a new recruitment platform for Africa, has launched, specialised in connecting people with the right job based on an organisation’s culture fit, the expected skills match, timing and motivation.

Aside from all the usual features of an online recruitment platform, WorkinAfrica also has an embedded salary calculator that makes it possible for anyone to receive a full report on how well they are paid compared to peers in their field of activity.

It also features tests, quizzes and contests, as well as an integrated gamification tool to make the job hunting process more fun and engaging. The startup said it wants to support Africa’s growth by making sure qualified individuals fill relevant jobs, contributing to the continent’s overall development.

“We want people to make the most of their professional time. Time limit makes us creatively and transparently connect professionals with their dream jobs,” said Ana Giurca, WorkinAfrica chief executive officer (CEO).

Aside from the features for job hunters, WorkinAfrica said its portal allows employers to find the best matching candidates much faster and easier, as WorkinAfrica is able to recommend the best candidates for their roles in a matter of seconds. Its intelligent technology screens and analyses all the resumes in the database, and provides a list of suitable candidates for any job.

“Our goal is to offer the most stable and effective job platform in Sub-Saharan Africa. We believe in the power of this recruitment solution to take African human resources to the next level,” Giurca said.

Employers can create customised newsletters to promote their jobs to highly target audiences, enabling them to reach a specific professional profile. NGOs can use the service for free.

“We have high-aimed targets until the end of the year. We disclose, for now, just four of them: 500 hires, 200 employers posting jobs, career fairs and customized advertising campaigns for companies. And this is just the beginning,” said Giurca.
