Applications have opened for Africa Tech Startup Forum, a market access and acceleration programme designed to prepare, train, expose, and connect tech ventures with opportunities.
Funded by the Korea Africa Economic Cooperation (KOAFEC) Trust Fund through the African Development Bank (AfDB) Innovation and Entrepreneurship Lab, the Africa Tech Startup Forum serves as a dynamic hub for innovation, collaboration, and growth within the burgeoning tech landscape of the African continent.
The programme, which takes place virtually and in-person, includes an incubation programme which provides a nurturing environment for early-stage tech startups. Through this initiative, entrepreneurs gain access to specialised resources, mentorship, and collaborative workspaces.
A B2B matchmaking platform within the forum facilitates strategic connections between startups and established businesses, while investor sourcing is another crucial facet of the forum, connecting promising startups with potential investors eager to support groundbreaking ventures.
Key industries for the programme include agri-tech, fintech, and e-health, while startups from Kenya, Morocco, Rwanda, Egypt, Uganda, Nigeria, South Africa, and Ghana, are invited to apply here before April 19.
