Venture for Africa, a talent community and leading source for top tech startup hires on the continent, has partnered Africa Product Peers, a community for African professionals in product, design, and tech roles, to launch a career bootcamp for mid-level professionals in Africa.

Venture for Africa (VFA) is a community created to enable top global talent to transition into roles within the African tech startup ecosystem, with its flagship three-month fellowship exposing participants to local market nuances, offering expert-led training specific to key roles, and introducing them to leading startups looking to hire now.

The organisation co-creates its programmes with startups, including actionable projects for fellows to complete, expert-led workshops in specific areas, and an opportunity to fast-track fellows through the interview process for their dream role upon completion of the learning activities.

VFA’s partnership with Africa Product Peers will provide access to an exclusive career bootcamp, tailored for mid-career professionals with 3-8 years of experience. With VFA’s experience placing mid-senior talent and running successful role-specific bootcamps, and Africa Product Peers’ experience building a leading tech community in Kenya with prior success supporting their members with job placements, the session will equip participants with the skills, support, and network connections needed to thrive in the competitive tech landscape.

“At Venture for Africa, we’re passionate about empowering professionals to thrive in the dynamic African tech ecosystem,” said Tobi Lafinhan, CEO and co-founder of Venture for Africa. “Our goal is to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity within the African startup ecosystem. This partnership enables us to broaden our scope to mid-career professionals. By merging our expertise with Africa Product Peers’ community-driven approach, we believe we can significantly influence the careers of mid-career professionals across the continent.”
