Ghana’s PayBox launches financial services app Buddy

Ghanaian fintech startup PayBox has launched Buddy, an integrated financial platform, that aims to empower young Africans with inclusive financial freedom.

PayBox is driving innovation in cross-border payment and fund transfers across more than 23 African countries for SMEs.

The Buddy mobile application leverages blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) to provide innovative financial solutions. The app challenges inflation, reduces transaction fees, simplifies cross-border payments, and enhances investment yields.

Additionally, Buddy AI (Beta) enables users to engage in meaningful conversations with their finances, gaining valuable insights and guidance.

“Take a second to close your eyes – envision Buddy as PayPal or Monzo for Africa, with blockchain capabilities linked to a mobile number. To this end, Buddy functions as both a mobile app and a decentralised app, offering a user-friendly interface and giving you the control to manage personal and business finances,” the startup said.
