Pan-African hubs network AfriLabs has taken its member tally past the 500 mark with the addition of 18 new hubs.
AfriLabs is a network organisation that is committed to driving innovation and entrepreneurship on the continent by bringing together technology hubs, startups, investors, and other key stakeholders in the ecosystem.
It has now added 18 new members, taking the size of its network to 514 hubs across 54 African countries.
Five of those are Nigerian, in the shape of Vortex Central, Lhaude Africa, darey.io, Kristina Jade Centre, and CorestreamNG, expanding its innovation footprint in Lagos and Jos. Ghana sees the inclusion of Inovech Foundation and Centre for Enterprise Learning in Accra, alongside Wislaw Education and Support Fund, and Enactus UMaT in Tarkwa.
Three of the additions are South African – Empire Partner Foundation and I’m In Startup Hub in Johannesburg, and Savant Technology Incubator in Cape Town – and two Kenyan, the Lolwe AI Hub and JHUB Africa, both situated in Nairobi.
Lesotho joins the network with the Lesotho Entrepreneurship Hub and Seed Financing Facility in Maseru and the Makhala Thekiso Foundation, while other additions are Mektoub (Burkina Faso) and Boris Bison Youth Empowerment Business Incubator (Cameroon).
