Simon’s Cat Becomes The First Meme Coin On Binance Spot, Could Catslap Be Next?

Simon’s Cat token just made history by announcing that it will be the first cat meme coin on Binance Spot. This was massive news, not only for the further recognition of cat meme coins but for the greater availability of the token.

More than that, it also signals that Binance is ready to onboard a new type of meme coin, which could mean that Catslap (SLAP) might be the next meme coin on Binance Spot

Simon’s Cat Becomes The First Cat Meme Coin on Binance Spot

In the aftermath of the listing, Simon’s Cat saw a massive price surge that took it to the all-time high at $0.00006871, at the time of writing. The project was also listed on Binance’s HODLer Airdrops Portal alongside Pudgy Penguins (PENGU), further adding to the hype surrounding CAT.

The exchange’s announcement said that CAT’s listing will take place on December 17 at 9 a.m. UTC, with four available pairs against USDT, BNB, TRY, and FDUSD.

As mentioned, this was huge news for CAT, causing a 58% surge in the last 24 hours. Since then, however, some of the project’s holders have decided to sell their CAT and take profit, causing a price drop to $0.00005043, which is where the token’s price sits at the time of writing.

Given the fact that CAT saw an extremely sharp surge that is represented almost like a straight line up on the project’s chart, it was only to be expected that a resistance at $0.000060 is likely to reject its price and cause it to correct eventually, unless if CAT manages to permanently break it, which did not happen.

But, as mentioned, the listing on Binance Spot has a wider implication, which is that the exchange might start onboarding new cat-based meme coins, and some have already started speculating that Catslap (SLAP) might be next.

Is Binance Listing Catslap’s Next Big Announcement?

Catslap became a major sensation in the meme coin sector thanks to its slapping game — a clicking mini-game on its website that lets you slap various entities whenever you click on the image of its slapping cat. The game was popular immediately as it was added, generating 10 million slaps in only a few days.

However, as the project added its Slap-To-Earn model, allowing users to earn SLAP tokens as they continue clicking, its slap count skyrocketed to 1 billion+. The project recently also announced a massive airdrop that will grant 10k in USDT to the top 10 slappers each, totaling in 100k meant to be airdropped to the community.

Apart from this, however, the project also has a countdown on its website which is leading to major announcements. Two weeks ago, the project’s countdown dropped to zero, only for it to reveal its first CEX listing, announcing that it will be available on MEXC. While many expected it to announce a listing on Binance on Coinbase, this was still pretty big news, as MEXC is still among the top 10 largest exchanges in the world.

Now, however, there is less than two days since the next announcement, and that was when the news of Simon’s Cat becoming the first cat meme coin on Binance Spot emerged, signaling to Catslap’s community that a Binance listing might be a possibility this time around.

Whether or not this will actually happen remains unknown, of course, but the speculators are already having fun and pumping the hype by considering how much the token’s price might grow if it sees a listing on Binance.

BUY SLAP TOKENS BEFORE ITS PRICE SKYROCKETS

The announcement will be made in less than two days, so the wait is nearly over. Those who believe that SLAP will be next to list on Binance’s platform might want to consider buying the token while its price is low, as a Binance listing tends to cause a major surge to take place. However, keep in mind that the Binance listing is by no means a certainty at this time, but only rumor and speculation, so carefully consider your next move before making it.
