Egyptian B2B SaaS loyalty platform Prepit has been acquired by its larger counterpart Dsquares, which has bought a majority stake in the business for an undisclosed amount.

Founded in 2012 by Ayman Essawy, Marwan Kenawy and Momtaz Moussa, Dsquares is a B2B loyalty solutions provider that specialises in creating tailored loyalty solutions for industries including banking, telecom, FMCGs, and retail.

Prepit, meanwhile, was founded in 2022 by Karim Hussein and Tarek Afia, and is a B2B SaaS platform dedicated to streamlining F&B operations through AI-driven technology.

The strategic acquisition of Prepit by Dsquares will help Dsquares build on its proven expertise in the loyalty sector across the Middle East, including key markets such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the UAE.

“This acquisition is a defining moment in our journey to empower SMEs with transformative loyalty solutions. By integrating Prepit’s AI-powered platform into our ecosystem, we are reshaping how businesses connect with their customers. This partnership reflects our commitment to aligning technological innovation with sustainable growth, enabling businesses to deliver unparalleled customer experiences while gaining actionable insights to drive measurable success,” said Marwan Kenawy, CEO of Dsquares.

Karim Hussein, CEO of Prepit, said the collaboration reinforced a commitment to driving sustainable economic growth and fostering innovation across the region.

“We aim to address the increasing demand for hyper-personalised and gamified loyalty programmes, essential for businesses aiming to enhance customer engagement and retention in a rapidly evolving industry,” he said.
