South African SME capacity builder Thinkroom Consulting has launched Thinkubate, an online learning solution designed to unlock the full potential of SME development.
Thinkroom Consulting is focused on providing market access to entrepreneurs through specific programmes and interventions. It partners with large corporates and institutions such as Standard Bank, Absa, and the World Bank to deliver entrepreneur development programmes in over 20 countries.
A 50 per cent partner in Grindstone, a structured entrepreneurship development programme, and in Grindstone Ventures, a post-seed, pre-Series A fund, the company has now launched Thinkubate, a comprehensive online, self-paced learning management system featuring over 160 videos, more than 60 business templates, and a self-assessment that covers essential business fundamentals such as entrepreneurship, strategy, finance, legal, and even using AI for brand, GTM and sales enablement.
Whether using Thinkubate to run fully-managed or self-managed programmes, the digital platform empowers organisations to upskill entrepreneurs, accelerate business growth, and track impact with data-driven insights.
“Thinkubate was built with a clear mission: to give SMEs and startups a place to learn – quickly, efficiently, and on the go. We designed it as a platform where entrepreneurs learn from entrepreneurs, offering real-world, short-form content that fits into the fast-paced reality of running a business. It was never just about education, but about equipping founders with the insights and strategies they need to succeed,” said Thinkubate co-founder Catherine Young.
